1barn
Website add-on, on any plan

Your barn's website, mostly built already.

1barn already knows your lessons, events, forms and contact details. The website puts them on your own site, at a free barn.page address. Ask 1barn writes the first draft, and the booking parts stay current on their own.

$19 a month on any plan, or $190 a year. Try it free for 30 days from inside 1barn, no card needed.

A first draft in about a minute

Ask 1barn writes it. You make it yours.

  1. 1Draft it with Ask 1barnIt writes a first version from your barn profile, facility, lessons, events and forms, and picks photos.
  2. 2Bring your current site along, if you likeTick one box and Ask copies your own words and photos from the site you have today, page by page. It reads at most 40 pages, follows that site's robots.txt, and never reads anything without the tick.
  3. 3Check what it didA card says what came from 1barn, what came from your old site, what was left out, and what to check. Open the draft and change anything.

Rather write it yourself? Start blank. 1barn still fills in your events, lessons, forms and contact, and waits for your words on the rest. The draft counts as one Ask question, and the website comes with 25 extra questions a month for website work.

Live from 1barn

Change it in 1barn, and the site already knows.

The parts that change every week come straight from 1barn. Nobody has to remember to update the website.

Booking sections

Lesson, ride and party times for the next 2 weeks, and dated events like camps and clinics. Show everything, some categories, some event types, or one event. Add a section per kind, each with its own page.

Book now

The button in the header opens your booking page, or one of the site's booking sections. Families book and pay there, as they do today.

Lessons and forms

The Lessons section links to your waiting-list form. Forms and waivers lists the forms you chose to show, so a new rider can sign before the first lesson.

Contact and Client sign in

Messages from the contact form land in Messages › Website, and your reply is emailed back. Spam is filtered out, with nothing for visitors to solve. A quiet Client sign in link takes boarders and families to their portal.

Sections, not a blank page

Turn on what your barn does.

A site is a home page plus a page for each section that needs one, like /boarding or /lessons. Turn a section on or off, move it up or down, and edit it in place. Changes show in the preview as you type.

  • A hidden section keeps its words and photos.
  • Group a long menu under labels like Riding or About.
  • Rewrite any text box shorter, friendlier, or spell-checked with Ask.
Themes and photos

Twelve looks, in your barn's color.

Each theme shows as a live preview of your own site. Every theme reads the same sections, so switching never loses anything. Your color and logo come from your barn profile.

  • Prairie
  • Paddock
  • Arena
  • Hunt Club
  • Sagebrush
  • Meadow
  • Homestead
  • Harbor
  • Pony Club
  • Tack Room
  • Open Gate
  • Cross Country

Customize a theme

Choose your own six colors and your heading and body fonts from Google Fonts. Start from your color for three suggested palettes, or from the colors in your logo. Each color shows how well it reads, with a Fix it button.

Photos that crop well

Each photo slot says the shape and size it wants. Set a focal point and see how the banner, phone, square and card crops keep it. A list shows the photos still to add.

See it before your photos

Until you add your own, the builder's preview shows a sample photo where the banner, Boarding, Lessons or Gallery will go. It's labeled, and it never appears on your published site.

Your address and publishing

Publish when you're ready. Not before.

A free barn.page address

Pick your address, like yourbarn.barn.page. It's checked as you type. After you publish, it can change once every 30 days, and the old address keeps forwarding for a year.

Publish, and see what changed

Edits save as you go, and visitors see them when you publish. Publish lists what changed since last time, and the new version is usually up within a minute.

Ready to be found and shared

Each page gets a title and description you can set. The site has a sitemap and a picture for shared links, and lists your Facebook, Instagram and other pages.

Your own Google Analytics

Paste your measurement ID and the site shows a small cookie notice. Google's tag loads only after a visitor accepts. With no ID, there's no Google code at all.

Take it offline

Closed for the winter? Take the site offline and it shows a short page with your phone number. Your draft and address stay. Publish again to bring it back.

Your own domain

Point yourbarn.com at your 1barn site, with redirects from your old site's pages. Until then, every site has its free barn.page address.

Questions

Questions about the website.

What does the website cost?

$19 a month, or $190 a year on a yearly plan, on top of any 1barn plan. It includes 25 extra Ask 1barn questions a month for website work.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The owner can try it free for 30 days, once per barn, with no card. Open Website in 1barn, in a browser. You're emailed 3 days before the free month ends. If you don't add it, the site goes offline and nothing is deleted.

Do I have to write it myself?

No. Ask 1barn writes a first draft from your barn profile, facility, lessons, events and forms. Tick a box and it also copies your words and photos from the site you have today. You check it, change what you like, and publish.

Is it drag and drop?

No. You pick a theme and turn sections on and off, in the order you want. Every theme reads the same sections, so you can switch themes any time without losing anything.

Do I have to update the site when the schedule changes?

No. Booking sections, events and open times come live from 1barn. When something changes in 1barn, it changes on the site, with no publishing needed.

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. Every site gets a free address like yourbarn.barn.page today. Your own domain, and redirects from your old site's pages, are coming soon.

Who can edit the website?

The owner, and managers when the owner turns on the Settings permission for managers. Clients and families only see the published site.
